How many installations allowed for a Home License ($149)

I purchased a MATLAB Home License for $149. How many installations of the on-premise version of the MATLAB software are permitted for this license? Or is the limit by number of users. I can have as many number of installations but only two (say) users can work at the same time.

Look in matlabroot at the license agreement file. As of R2023a it says

1.1. Individual License Option

(i) The Individual License Option provides for use of Programs by a single

Named User.

(ii) A Named User may install the Programs on up to four (4) different

Computers but may not use a Program on more than two (2) Computers

simultaneously, except that Student and Home Licenses are limited to a

single Computer.

So for a Home license, only one user (the purchaser) may use the software, and it may only be installed on one system. The limit is the same for the Student license.

The MATLAB Home License can only be used on a single computer at a time.
