Does Matlab 2023b run on apple M2 Max chip?

I followed the directions on this page (see below) and matlab keeps crashing on me. I'm wondering if the M2 Max is not yet supported.

Answers isn't official TMW support, you'll need to contact TMW Sales/Installation Support to answer that specific question.
A search of Answers for "Apple silicon" didn't uncover an answer to the specific question but a couple of notes by @Steven Lord reminding that R2023b is not yet released; this is a prerelease version, as such it wouldn't be terribly surprising to find some glitches yet. @Steven Lord also reminded to send comments on a prerelease to <Technical Support> directly, not to Answers forum.
<An updated Answer (June 2023)> could be interpreted to indicate TMW thinks it should run since there are no caveats excluding a particular Apple silicon chipset, but see above.
