How to use Rainflow cycle counting function in fatigue analysis?

I hope you are doing great. I want to use the default rainflow cycle counting function of matlab to count the number of cycles, but in fatigue analysis, I need to find the 2Nf variable which is the number of half cycles to failure. Because of that, I used the 'sum(hist,2)' to get the number of cycles of the strain response (Ni). So, can I use the variable Ni as the number of half cycles of strain amplitude in fatigue analysis in reinforced concrete frames?
