Does matlab intend to drop support for calling java altogether? I don't need tech support, but is it safe to assume the ability to call java will be around in the future?

The latest LTS JDK is 17, soon to be 21. Is it safe to assume matlab will support future LTS JDK releases?

Hi @Roger,
The MATLAB R2023a version supports Java 11. Please refer to the release notes of the R2023a version provided below, specifically the External Language Interface section, to know about the versions supported by MATLAB.
You can also refer to the MATLAB Answers posts provided below for better understanding of the version of JDK supported by MATLAB.
I hope this helps!
Thank You

Greetings, does R2023b support Java 17? Or is Java 11 still the latest supported version?
I would hope to be able to use Java 17, because Java 21 is now the latest LTS, and we'd like to stay not more than 1 LTS release behind.
