Hi,
The issue you're experiencing with Visual Basic in Excel after installing "Spreadsheet Link" for MATLAB is not uncommon. Spreadsheet Link allows MATLAB and Excel to communicate, but sometimes there can be compatibility issues or installation problems. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Check Compatibility:
- Ensure that your version of Spreadsheet Link is compatible with both MATLAB 2023b and Excel 2019.
2. Repair Office Installation:
- Sometimes, repairing your Microsoft Office installation can resolve issues with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
- Go to `Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features`, select Microsoft Office, and choose `Change`. Then select `Repair`.
3. Check for Updates:
- Ensure that both MATLAB and Excel are updated to their latest versions, as updates often fix bugs and improve compatibility.
4. Verify Environment Variables:
- Ensure that the environment variables for MATLAB and Excel are correctly set. Sometimes, incorrect settings can cause issues with add-ins.
