field II ultrasound simulation kidney example with linear array.

Hi.

I'm studying how to use the simulation tool, field2.

As well as this kidney example, there are some distortion problem on my linear array transducer field2 code.

I set the linear transducer and linear focusing.

Th_Tx = xdc_linear_array(N_elements, width, element_height, kerf, 1, 4, focus);

Th_Rx = xdc_linear_array(N_elements, width, element_height, kerf, 1, 4, focus);

But the result is distorted image.

With some ways, I just could only make other image with other problem, such as distortion on bottom side.

In almost images with my linear array simulation, there are the distortion(curve) image problem.

is that just the way it is? or is there anyone solve this problems?

In general, it's is advisable to reach out to the author of the 3rd party toolbox to get a better answer for 3rd party toolbox questions. Even though the 3rd party toolbox uses MATLAB language, MATLAB Answers forum might have limited number of users for the toolbox.
