plotting with for loops taking more than 2hours

Attached code is taking more than two hour to run and produce the plots. Requesting to kindly suggest a solution to improve the speed and efficiency. Thanks in advance.

Thank you, replaced find()~=0 with nnz()>0. Still in need of a solution for an alternative to for loop or any solution for speed improvement .

Sorry about that. While I think that nnz() is more appropriate, it wasn't actually messing with execution. I didn't bother to think how the if-statement would handle an empty logical array. Turns out that it's false, so it wasn't causing you any problems.

Are you sure you intend to be rewriting the output files each loop iteration? If you want each iteration to create a new file, then the filenames need to be made unique. If you only want want one set of files after all the iterations are done, then that can be done after the loop(s) exit. On my computer, saving the two files for figure1 takes about 5.5s each iteration, which is the majority of the loop time (I'm only running the code for figure1).

Are you sure you intend for all of these plots to accumulate atop each other in the same figure? It may be slowing down simply due to the growing number of graphics objects involved across all the figures at once.

For me, the slow part is creating and saving 29 plots in 11 figure windows every loop, which is 812 times. Do you need to save the figures every loop, or just the final ones?

Also, some of the variables you create are never used. Removing them will reduce the overall runtime of your code.

I need the linal set of 12 plots with cumulative data presented as plots.

There are two arrays of PRNS. PRN-A with length 28 and PRNB with length 28 or may be less.

My code is to do:

Take each PRN from the array PRN-A, and where ever PRNA exists in the whole 24 hours duration ( in the datarows nearly 50K) and with the first PRN in the array of PRN-B, plots data in 12 figures. So here the loop one index is 1, and loop 2 index is 1 to 28.

If for a PRN from array A , any PRN from array B is not pairing, no data will be there and so no plot. So for each PRN from array, A, the code checks all 50K rows and where ever A is there it plots 12 figures.

Like this, loop1 will have 28 iterations with each having 28 internal iterations to check the intersection, so nearly 784 iterations. The aim is to plot 24 hours data for all possible pairs of PRNS.

I need only the final cumulative data plots- a set 12, please

Thanks to you both DGM and Cris LaPierre. Following your suggestions, I shifted all save commands to out of both the for loops and now the task took exactly 10min. Grateful to both of you.

If any more efficient solution is there, will be still grateful to take.
