Due to the long distance involved in calculations, atmospheric refraction is considered. However, I've noticed that ray tracing doesn't take atmospheric refraction into account. Therefore, I would like to inquire about how to incorporate atmospheric refraction into the ray tracing propagation model?

Hi YunYao,
I understand that you want to incorporate atmospheric refraction into the ray tracing propagation model, especially considering the long distances involved in your calculations.
As of the latest release, MATLAB (up to R2024a) does not currently support the direct incorporation of atmospheric refraction into the ray tracing propagation model. However, this feature may be considered for future release.
MATLAB release notes provide information about new Features’, ‘Bug Fixes’ and ‘Compatibility Considerations. Please use the shared link to access MATLAB release Notes: https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/release-notes.html
I hope this helps
