I had faced a similar issue, here are a few workarounds that you can try:

• Run the "javaclasspath" command to check if the path points to the correct MATLAB version.
• Type this command in the MATLAB command prompt: "com.mathworks.toolbox.sl3d.icons.SL3DIcon.TREE_EXPOSEDFIELD". This should return "TREE_EXPOSEDFIELD". This will verify that the Java symbol is actually present in the Java archive. If this return an error, then the archive is probably corrupted and a reinstallation of the Simulink 3D Animation product might help.
