Hello,
Can someone tell me why the filters have no attenuation? thanks,

Hi Dov, If the filters in your RF budget analyzer are not providing the expected attenuation, several factors could be at play. Check the filter design, component values, and connections for any discrepancies. Ensure that the filters are correctly configured in the circuit and that the components are functioning within their specified parameters. Additionally, verify that the input and output impedance match the filter requirements. By meticulously examining these aspects, you can troubleshoot and rectify the issue of missing attenuation in your passive filters. Hope that answers your question.

hi Umar, thanks for the response. Actually I was talking about the RF budget App where the Filter Model from the Elements pallete does not have an attenuation or noise figure settings, same as any passive device would. Currently you are forced to add a generic model before the filter in order to add attenuation/NF to the filter. Since there is no attenuation in the filter the NF would not be acurate at the chain output. thanks.

Hi Dov,
The RF Budget analyzer app contains the Filter elements in the Linear Elements section of the Elements tab. In the available Element Parameters tab of this Filter there are properties for passband/stopband attenuation according to your specific Filter Type. If this helps you can leverage these properties for your task to obtain attenuation for your filter. Hope this helps.
