- Verify realistic spring rates, damping, and actuator dynamics.
- Ensure the controller is correctly tuned.
- ]Confirm realistic actuator constraints.
- Use appropriate time steps and solver configurations.
- Consistency in units is crucial.
- Ensure correct measurement of suspension movement.
- Accurately represent any nonlinearities.
Why is the suspension displacement so low?

hello everyone,
I designed an active suspension system but there is something I don't understand. While the bump in my road profile is 0.07, I see the suspension movement as 10^-7. Of course I expect improvement, but isn't this too much. Please I am waiting for your comments. ![](https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/discussions/uploaded_files/35059/image.png)

Hi Kerem,
Your active suspension system's response appears unusually low, possibly due to issues in your model or simulation setup. Check the following:
These checks should help pinpoint the cause of the discrepancy in your simulation results.
