MATLab isn't allowing me to create new code or text in a previous file I was working on. The "Code" and "Text" buttons do not work, I cannot click them. How can this be fixed?

What type of file are you working with? M file?

Is this a part of an appdesigner edit session?

Well, it might be a problem of permission

What I would 1st try is editing this file not in Matlab bnut on a regulrae text editor (i.e. Notepad...)

Maybe you will find that, from some reason - the Write permissions of this file are not allowed..

I believe you will have a good guess what is the source of this problem - afterwards... :-)
