I am a student currently working on a full vehicle multibody model of a 4WD BEV vehicle. Now I need to model the tires. I have looked at the possible options available but I am unsure as to what would better fit the model. The purpose of my project is to study both longitudinal and lateral behavior of the car focusing on low speed kinematics. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to handle this?

Have you checked out the Vehicle Dynamics books?
Especially the one, "Tire and Vehicle Dynamics, Third Edition R-418" by Hans B. Pacejka.

I agree with @Sam Chak 's suggestion. The book "Tire and Vehicle Dynamics, Third Edition R-418" by Hans B. Pacejka is the best resource (although heavy reading!).
The MATLAB support package Extended Tire Features for Vehicle Dynamics Blockset has tooling to fit and plot tire models.
Check out the Getting Started page for examples.

I understand that you require to model tires for your '4WD BEV' simscape multibody model to study both longitudinal and lateral behavior of the car focusing on low-speed kinematics.
This answer mentions the 'Magic Formula Tire Force and Torque' model which is able to handle both longitudinal and lateral dynamics of the tire models. It also mentions MATLAB File Exchange submissions such as 'MFeval' and 'Spatial Contact Force Examples Simscape Multibody' which can be helpful in this scenario.
You can also refer to the following Mathworks documentations to model the 'Tire' according to your use-case:
Hope this helps! Thanks.
