Save image from function with imwrite in other function

Hi,

I have a gui made for matching two color patches, the active patch is adjusted with slider, and then this adjusted image is shown in one of the axis. I have a button in gui, which when pressed should save my image that is in axis to the folder.

The image that need to be saved after button is pressed is J.

I tried different things but Im sure that there is such an easy way to solve this issue.

Could you help me?

You need to write something along the lines of:

 imsave(handles.axes4);

Under a pushbutton object.
