XCP internal error while using LaunchXL 280039C in Simulink C2000 blockset

Trying to run the monitor and tune command in the C2000 blockset but it keeps showing me this error. The code deploys on the board if I click the build, deploy and start button.

Error:External Mode Open Protocol Connect command failed

Caused by:

Could not connect to target application: XCP internal error: timeout expired, in response to XCP CONNECT command
