This error can occur for a few reasons:
  • If your MathWorks account has been left inactive or in an unverified state prior to completing the activation process.
  • If you've recently added a new user to a license but their MathWorks Account has not been completed yet.
To address the error, start by making sure that the MathWorks Account is verified. If you are a license administrator activating on behalf of a Licensed End User, ensure that both your MathWorks Account and your Licensed End User's MathWorks Account is active. This can be checked by signing into your MathWorks Account on the MathWorks website and asking your user to do the same.
After confirming sign in, cancel out of the activation window. You can then retry activating by relaunching the MathWorks Product Authorizer.
If the issue persists, you may try manually creating your license file and using that during the activation process. See the documentation link below for more details.
