I am trying to create an Excel Add-in in MATLAB per the following instructional video: Excel Add-ins using MATLAB. However, I am having a lot of trouble. When I start the 'Library Compiler' App, I do not get the option for Excel Add-In in the 'Application Type' window. I only have options for C Library and C++ Library. I have Windows SDK 7.1 and NET Framework 4.0 software installed. What am I missing?

You need the Builder EX product in that release.
Note: as of R2015a, the various Builder* products were merged into a single product, "Compiler SDK"

Good, I'm having the same problem. Might you remind me where/how I get/install compiler SDK?

If you have them licensed then you can visit https://www.mathworks.com/downloads/select_release?mode=gwylf to get the appropriate installer for your release; you might need to select your release on the right hand side.
If you do not already have them licensed, then you probably cannot obtain them, not directly: you would need to pay up your support to the present and then purchase the current Compiler SDK product, after which you would be able to either use that directly or use the link I indicated above to download the older release. There is the possibility that you might need assistance from Mathworks Support to use a pre-merge product with a post-merge license.

I have the same problem and I have the Compiler SDK, and the MATLAB Compiler installed for version 2018a. I see python, C and C++. Is the Excel addin a separate purchase of the Compiler SDK? My license agreement is through Politécnico Di Milano, which as far as I know has the full package.
