Instantiate guide figure in a parogrammatically designed GUI

Hello,

Due to the lack of tab support in guide (R2014a) I have been making my GUI programmatically, however to save time I would like to make some panels in guide and then call them in a particular tab. Is there a way to do this? My current work around has the tab select button call the panel function, the problem here is that the panel is not embedded as I would like. Any help would be most appreciated.
