In the Matlab editor, I type command-F pulling up the "Find & Replace" GUI, then type a string in the "Find what:" field. The "Find Next" button is now highlighted, but when I hit the return key, nothing happens. I have to manually click the "Find Next" button with the mouse each time. It's a small issue but it's driving me nuts, and interrupts my coding flow.
I suspect it might have to do with the version of java running, which I changed because retina displays had a known issue with fuzzy image/text quality in matlab and using this version of java was the workaround.
Running Matlab on 2013 Macbook Pro w/ Retina, OS X Version 10.9.5 Matlab version: 8.3.0.532 (R2014a) Java version: Java 1.8.0_40-b27 with Oracle Corporation Java HotSpot™ 64-Bit Server VM mixed mode
Any ideas how to fix the return key issue without reverting to fuzzy text in matlab?

I am able to use the GUI, enter text and hit enter to search the word. Were you able to use this feature before changing the java version? The java version that is shipped with MATLAB R2014a for MAC is 1.7.0_11.

Yes, I was able to use this feature before changing java versions, but as I mentioned above, I had to switch to the version I'm using now because fonts in matlab appeared fuzzy on my MacBook retina display. This is a known issue and the workaround was to change Java versions.
