Error in blockproc() function

in my matlab 2013a i was using blockproc() function to process an image blockwise. whenver i try to use this function i get an error Undefined variable "internal" or class "internal.images.IOContainer". Error in blckproc (line 186) a = internal Even a simple anonymous function also does not work. plz help me come out of this.
