- Log in to your Mathworks account
- In the upper-right corner, you will see your account name, with a little pull-down arrow
- Click on that arrow
- Select "My Account"
- You should see a list of "My Software", with a download icon next to each license. Click on the icon for the appropriate license.
- Choose from "Download Earlier Release" from the right-hand column

Hello it is still not possible, it's like MATLAB forces you to download only the current release not any other release, thats a big turn off..

The solution to this is even easier:
- When logged into your MathWorks Account, click Download the latest release
- On the new tab, it says Click here to download any MathWorks release
- There's a scroll menu to the right with every release
I have about 5 versions with my student license. There are generally very few forwards compatibility issues but once you use contributed code on the web, I think it's best practice to use the version it was created with.
