Increase interface font size MATLAB R2011b Unix

Hello,

I am using MATLAB R2011b on Ubuntu. My screen has a rather big resolution, and I often have problems with applications that do not handle such resolution properly: sadly, MATLAB appears to be one of them.

Particularly, the effect is that the font size of the interface is extremely small. I was able to change the font size of the text displayed in the editor as well as the size of the text displayed in the console/workspace viewer/filesystem viewer, but all other text (menus, buttons, etc) are so small I can hardly work with that.

Can you please suggest a solution? My eyes will be extremely grateful :-)
