How to reduce the margin between plot and paper?

Dear Community,

in the picture you can see an example plot of my masterthesis. I am not happy with the margin between the plot and the paper. It is the papersize a4. But if I insert the image in my LaTeX document there are not the same distances to all edges of the paper. Is it possible to get a margin to all sides woth the same distance?
