how to find local peaks in dataset

Hello,I have a matrix with size 256*2 matrix=[0 1 2 3 4 ...256; 0 3 4 8 0 ...673]. first column shows intensity and second shows iteration of each intensity in image. I want to find local peaks.but findpeaks can not find all peaks.can any one help me to find local peaks?

Probably will have to see the dataset to have any chance of anybody being able to help...nothing much to (as in anything) to go on here...
