Parpool on multinode Clusters

Hi,
I have a problem with the maximum number of workers that I can open using parpool command on clusters. For example, when 2 nodes of a cluster (each one with 32 cores, total 64) are allocated to a MatLab jobs, if I write parpool(64), I get an error. I tried this on different clusters, and the maximum, I am allowed, is the number of cores in one node. How can I get access to all cores over a multinode cluster? Thanks.

How is this cluster configured? Do you have MDCS installed on it, or are you using MATLAB with Parallel Computing Toolbox only?
If you have only Parallel Computing Toolbox, then ou can only start workers on a single physical machine.
If you have MDCS, then the license determines how many workers can be started. Check your receipt to see how many workers you have paid for.
