mean absolute deivation

How can I use robustfit to minimize the mean absolute deviation from the mean (not median). I cant tell from the documentation which weight function to use.

I do not think that the OP is still waiting for an answer after 18 months. And if you, Daniel, are working on an equivalent problem, opening a new thread and adding more details would be a good idea. Notice that only the OP can select an accepted answer, if it solves the problem.
