How to recover a noisy curve image

I have a noisy image as follow
As you can see, the image is an incomplete curve with many sections.
Is there an inference algorithm in Matlab that I can use to infer missing points and re-draw the complete curve?

Try smoothing it first with sgolayfilt() (in the Signal Processing Toolbox) or SLM or something. Then try interp1() on the smoothed curve to get the y values for "missing" x values.
