error starting desktop 2015a ubuntu 14.04

Hello,

I am using R2015a on ubuntu 2015a. It was working well until a few day ago and suddenly it shows the error message as attached file:

I have tried the methods in http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/50971-matlab-r2012b-java-exception-error-starting-desktop, but non of them works for me.

Any idea on this problem?

Hi,

I had the similar issue. Check this link: LINK

The first solution ( Solution #1: Remove Preferences) worked for me.
