Show array of doubles as bars on shapefiles projected with mapshow in MATLAB

Hello,

Is it possible to show an array of doubles as bars on a shapfile (as like picture 1) which is read by the mapshow function (picture 2)?

The array of doubles is stored as like the river structure (blue lines) with NaN's elsewhere to retain the structure.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

What is that value in bars? discharge? You got location and respective values?

Hi, these are discharge values and yes, I've got the values. I have them in a matrix representing their location just like a simple ASCII file with the values in it.
