How to match facial sketch to facial photos

Hello, I want to match facial sketch to facial photos. I'm suggested use SIFT and SURF descriptor for feature(keypoint) detection and extraction, k nearest neighbor classifier for classification. I have done feature extraction using surf and sift separately. how to combine sift and surf descriptor and using k nearest neighbor for classification. Please explain me the steps...
