Need MATLAB-friendly device to offer triggerable audio

Hello,

I'm looking for a device that can support the following process:

1) An audio file (or raw signal vector) is loaded onto the device via USB (using MATLAB);

2) When the device receives a trigger (~5V pulse), it plays the audio pretty much instantaneously.

It would be great if the audio could be short (< 100 us), long (minutes), or anywhere in between. (The purpose for this is synchronization to a device that outputs a trigger.) Any ideas?
