how to intersect two images

subplot(2,2,2), image(uint8(c)), title('Intersection'); subplot(2,2,3), image(uint8(a)), title('sobel'); subplot(2,2,4), image(uint8(b)), title('laplacian');
im writing this code but there is no proper working , can any one help me to intersect the two binary images .......?

Jpeg cannot represent binary images. You probably have a color image that uses 0 and 255 and which probably also uses values between because jpeg blurs straight lines. You should avoid using jpeg to store images you want to analyze.
