Is it possible to interpret legends differently?

I woud like to interpret a legend by 'latex' but another without LaTeX, is it possible?

Yes, when you create a legend either set 'Interpreter' when you create it or use

hLegend = legend(...)

to keep a handle to your legend, then you can change it afterwards as e.g.

hLegend.Interpreter = 'none';

You can set the interpreter for each legend individually:

subplot(1,2,1)
h1 = plot(1:10)
legend(h1, '$2^n$', 'Interpreter', 'LaTeX');

subplot(1,2,2)
h2 = plot(1:20)
legend(h2, '$2^n$', 'Interpreter', 'none');
