where do i get the images used in MATLAB image precessing toolbox user's guide 2013b?

Try looking in the toolbox/images/imdata directory underneath where you installed MATLAB.

In a version a few years ago, they changed where they kept the standard demo images that ship with the Image Processing Toolbox. However, this command, which the Image Processing Team gave me, will work with all versions:

% Determine where demo folder is (works with all versions).
folder = fileparts(which('peppers.png'))
