Problem about connection with Matlab and Maple

Hi, I'm working with Maple these days and want to link my Maple work to Matlab, I reload Maple 15 and add the Matlab path to the Maple, I can see the "toolbox_version" in Workspace of Matlab and wanted to test if they linked to each other, but command "setvar" and "getvar" didn't work. I don't understand how to make them link to each other, hope I can get your help, thanks a lot:))

Maple version: Maple 15 for Mac

Matlab version: R2016b
