Matlab help! New to MATLAB!

The question is: Compute the character frequencies. Find the probability distribution of each symbols in the filename.text-----In this case my filename is my_text.m

I need help in creating another code that's different but similar in which it outputs the same thing as the original. The code starts where the for loop starts all the way to end. Thanks!
