How to apply the binary mask using image 'imoverlay' on an RGB image to extract only remaining RGB parts of the image after applying the binary mask?

I obtained a binary mask of an image that I wish to apply on an RGB image to extract only desirable parts of the RGB image. Please suggest some functions/methods (tried imoverlay but not obtaining results) to complete that. Thanks in advance!
