Read data from text file without Metadata in .mdl file

I have saved some information of the blocks in .mdl file as 'MetaData'. I save this via

 set_param('mymodel','Metadata',{data});

This Metadata is easily read via

Simulink.MDLInfo.getMetadata('mymodel')

Now I want to read the data from the text file using 'fscanf' but the problem is this command also reads the Metadata that I have already saved. Is there any way I can use 'fscanf' and reads the text file without 'Metadata'?
