How do I find the PSF needed for deconvolution?

Hello, I'm quite new to image processing and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to find the PSF needed for the deconvolution process. I have a blurred image and don't have the original image. Many thanks :)

If there are point-like objects in the original image, then their blurred image will be the PSF.

Hi Matt, thanks for your reply. The problem is that I don't have an original image, I just have the microscopy image which is blurred already. Can I somehow get the PSF from this?

I'm not sure why it is a problem that you don't have the original image. Again, if the original image contains small points, then the blurred version of those points in the image that you do have is the PSF.

where you looking for a way to generate psf with the help of matlab inbuilt function?? for example by using gaussian or poisson noise ??
