how to get value from multiple images and save it to mat file which can be used as a dataset?

Hello, I'm newbie in matlab, I have a collection of images which are classified into certain types. I work with matlab to extract the image then i want to identify the image which previously should be classified first. Anyone please help me to solve this problem and code to process it. Thank you in advance.
