How to use variant susbsytems inside a referenced model?

Hi, I have a model reference which contains a variant subsystem. I passed a Simulink parameter to the model workspace and I try to use this parameter variant control logic. This does not work. What can be the problem?

If your are getting "Model reference parameter mismatch." error then you have to change the diagnostic to "Underspecified initialization detection" to 'Simplified'.
