Snap grid size in Simulink

- Can the snap grid size be changed in Simulink? - What should be done when creating new blocks to ensure that the connections line up with the snap grid?

It sure would be nice if the grid got finer as the zoom got larger. I'm working in a very larger Stateflow function now that I have to keep flat for compatibility with the larger model, and when I zoom enough to be able to read the model the snap grid is nearly full screen. I'm in R2020b now; is grid control on the list of needed features? Or is there a way to suppress grid snap?

Changing snap grid size is not supported by Simulink. Enable View>Smart Guides when adding new blocks to make the connections snap to the grid.
