does matlab offer the option to do an interrupted map projection?

need to plot data on the Earth. whole Earth image. the landmasses are the most interesting areas and would like to maintain both relative size and shape of the continents. an interrupted projection would work best, but cannot find such option amongst the listed projections. has anyone had the same need before, and how was it solve? thanks.
