Hi
I am currently using App Designer to create an app which, I will eventually run through deploytool to generate a .exe file. However, I cannot change the app window title from UI Figure to a custom one. Please can anyone assist me?

Hello, in order to rename your UIFigure you can follow this steps: - open your project in App Designer - In the COMPONENT BROWSER menu (you can find it on the right) select the first element in the list - In the UI FIGURE PROPERTIES (down on the right) you can add the name that you want in the Title field.

Ok, I figured this out. In order to change names for the version I am using (2019b), I need to make sure that "IntegerHandle" is checked. If I do not check any of these (the default for me), then I get that error above. Hope this helps someone.

in the startupFcn(app) of your app add the code:
app.current name.Name='new name';

i think Hikmet meant you have to rename the Figure, not the app itself.
It works, and you can customize it if you use a sprintf function :
app.CurrentAppUIFigure.Name = sprintf('APP - %s (DATA)',name);
