Reproducability of getByteStreamFromArray over Matlab Versions

Is it likely that getByteStreamFromArray will change its output for certain data over different versions of Matlab? Or Can one estimate the probability (0, low, mid, high) of this function to produce different result over different Matlab versions dependent on the type of the data serialized? I am currently dealing with 2 dimensional cells of strings and numerics.
