Dear MATLAB users,
it would be of great interest to couple MATLAB and Aspen EDR, so that at different conditions, different heat exchangers could be designed. Does anybody have experience with that? Thank you all in advance!

Hello, I am trying to connect MATLAB and Aspen EDR. It can be done once we know the ProgID of Aspen EDR.
However, I am unable to find the ProgID of the same. Do share if you were successful in connecting MATLAB and EDR.

I would recommend using Simulink to couple AspenTech with MATLAB. The interface is commercially available in the AspenTech product, AspenDynamics. The Aspen modeler block can be added to a Simulink diagram. After the Aspen modeler installation, you will be able to access the block by executing the following library name at the MATLAB command prompt:

>>amsimulink

The block ships with AspenDynamics and Aspen Customer Modeler.

You can read more about Aspen Dynamics and it's interaction with MathWorks products on the Third-Party Products & Services section of our website, linked below. https://www.mathworks.com/products/connections/product_detail/product_35756.html

You could also find more information about the block and its configuration in the attached power point presentation, "AspenDynamics_to_Simulink".

https://www.researchgate.net/publication/332736398_Aspen_Plus_and_MATLAB_linking_methods shows the ID for Aspen Plus. I do not know if EDR uses a different id.
