Where can I find good MATLAB programmers please ?

There are some quite good MATLAB programmers who volunteer here. Questions about MATLAB can be posted publicly and volunteers attempt to answer them when they have time.

Some of the volunteers here also accept private contracts, possibly at market rates. I have no idea what rate any of them asks.

stackoverflow attracts some good volunteers too.

Mathworks has a consulting service.

There are probably a lot of good MATLAB programmers who have not come to my attention. Some of them are probably interested in employment or contracts.

A couple of weeks ago I accidentally noticed a local company that does R&D and consulting in multiple languages including MATLAB, in the field of power systems especially green energy, so service companies are certainly out there.

Talking to local universities is often a useful resource.

As usual, make sure you know what you need. Do you need someone who knows the PDE toolbox inside out? Do you need someone who knows a lot in total about MATLAB toolboxes and so can work on a wide variety of questions, but is not necessarily a topic specialist in a particular field? Do you need someone who is fast at mockups, with the intent to pass the more successful mock ups to someone who is really good at programming large complex systems robustly? Do you need someone who can do triple integrals mentally? Do you need someone with a broad science background who might never have done a grad degree, or someone who has done a PhD in creating infrared instruments to detect Mad Cow disease in methane emissions in cattle barns?
