Is MATLAB2017b supported on MacOS 10.9.4 (Mavericks)?

According to the platform roadmap, MATLAB R2017b is not supported for macOS Mavericks (10.9). macOS El Capitan (10.11) is the oldest macOS version that is supported for MATLAB R2017b.
