My software engineering team is trying to produce a landing zone for airplane emergency landings. We need to create an equation to graph the non-powered flight zone of the airplane as it glides, dives, turns left or right, and everything in between. The cross section on the X-Y Plane (where the airplane makes contact with the ground) will be saved in an image format. We are given the necessary variables: glide ratio, airspeed, direction, climb rate, descent rate, landing rolling distance, etc., and with that information, we are working on creating the equation that encompasses the graph of the airplane's non-powered flight. Once we have plotted this equation, how should we go about taking a cross-section at the X-Y and saving it as a image, and how could we account for rolling distance?
