Windows crash after adding a cursor or zooming into a curve, how to avoid this?

After I plotted a graph in Matlab like a simple cosine-signal (5000 data points) and I add a data Cursor or zoom in/out the plot freeze and after one min. Windows crashed. Currently I'm using:
  • Matlab version: R2017b (installed: 21.11.2017)
  • Windows 10 Home (all updates are succsessfully installed)
  • System (Lenovo Y520) whith: Intel Core i7-7700 HQ; 16 GB ram, NVIDIA GTX 1060
When I use software-opengl instead of hardware-opengl, I don't have this problem.
